Major Victory: FCT Command Dismantles Car-Snatching Syndicate, Recovers N15m and 6 Stolen Cars
Police operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command have achieved a significant breakthrough by dismantling a notorious car-snatching syndicate operating across the region.
The Command successfully arrested four suspected members of the criminal ring following an intensive intelligence-led operation. This action effectively halted the syndicate's operations and led to substantial recoveries.
In a major win against organized crime, the FCT police recovered six stolen vehicles, which are currently undergoing identification processes.
Crucially, the operatives also confiscated a significant sum of over N15 million in cash suspected to be proceeds from the illegal sale of other vehicles.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects are currently undergoing thorough interrogation.
The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the full network of the syndicate, including potential receivers and accomplices, to facilitate comprehensive prosecution. The Command reiterated its commitment to making the FCT a safe environment for all residents.
